Our Exclusive Design Process
7 Phases to the Perfect Website Design
Phase 1. Analysis
Identify the website’s purpose, goals and target audience.
Phase 2. Planning
Planning your new website, defining its structure and the technologies needed to obtain your goals.
Phase 3. Mock Design
Wire-frame modeling, outlining the visual style, determining the UX (user experience design) & UI or user interface design.
Phase 4. Content
The most important step that you have control over. Choosing the right words, images and videos is key to a great user experience and search engine
Phase 5. Development
This is where the nerdy stuff like, HTML, CSS, Databases and responsive designs all come together to form a website.
Phase 6. Testing
This is where we test the technology we’ve used, the browser capability and plug it into the web’s two largest search engines.
Phase 7. Deployment
When we deploy your new website, we don’t just throw you the keys and wish you luck. We actually sit down with you for 30 minutes to and hour and train you on how to use your new website. Also, we are always available to help you in the future.
Upfront and Affordable Pricing …
North Georgia Web promises upfront and Affordable Pricing. Have you ever noticed that most web design outfits will not provide upfront pricing? This is because they charge by the hour, not the job. Web design is notorious for cost overruns and surprises, which is in our opinion, completely unnecessary. Our clear and transparent pricing eliminates the “surprise fees” usually associated with web design.

Frequently Asked Questions
If you have more questions, please give us a call @706-972-7737
+ Do I Have to Choose a Theme in Order to Have a Website Built?
Yes, and no, I’ll explain. Ninety percent of the websites that we build are for small business owners, who prefer to use WordPress to manage their websites. WordPress is a great content management system (arguably the best) that now powers more than 30% of the web. Its huge market share is due to it’s flexibility and ease of use.
Every WordPress website begins with a starting theme, whether you choose a starting theme or not. So the answer is “no,” you do not need to pick a theme, however, our designers will pick a theme (usually StudioPress) for you to build your website. There are many benefits for you to pick the right theme, ask your designer about the best themes for your business.
+ If I use a theme, will my website look unique?
Absolutely. Themes are simply a starting place for you and the designer. Before the explosion of web templates and themes, getting on the same page with a design team could be a daunting task. Without a theme for a starting pace, clients we’re often tasked to make tedious micro-decisions on every aspect of the design build like: fonts, color schemes, design structure, image placement, spacing, videos and much more. This process made the interview a time consuming chore for both as well as added cost to the overall project.
Fortunately, those days are behind us. North Georgia Web Design is strategically partnered with the world’s largest WordPress template and theme designers like: Genesis, Studiopress, Divi, Envanto, Thesis and many more. These partnerships allow us to offer our clients hundreds of unique designs to choose from to speed up and simplify the design process, ultimately, saving our clients time and money.
Another, often overlooked, benefit of using a theme as a starting point is that they offer clients a clear and predictable ending point. Meaning, eventually, most clients will be running their website on their own, which can be either frightening or exciting, depending on how comfortable they are with this task.
Choosing a theme that supports your comfort level and skill set, can make all the difference in whether your website flourishes or dwindles in the post-design stage. North Georgia Web designers are mindful of this, and will help you find the right theme for your skill set, as we begin every design with the end in mind. Setting up our clients to win in the post-design phase is one of our primary goals.
+ Can I change my mind later after picking a theme?
Yes, it’s perfectly fine to pick a theme now and order the web design service. Before we begin building your website you will have an interview with one of our designers. During this conversation, it’s quite common for a client to change their mind about the theme they have chosen.
So, we suggest, simply pick a theme that you like right now, and address any questions or concerns you may have with the designer when he or she calls or visits. The one caveat being, after the interview process, and during the design process, changing a theme could result in additional charges.
+ Do you only create WordPress websites?
No, but for the most part, yes. The simple truth is: WordPress is the best solution for well over 90% of the clients that we interview. WordPress websites, by far, offer our clients the highest success rates, lowest design costs and the easiest transition into self management.
All of the themes that you view here on North Georgia Web Design are for wordpress websites. This being said, NGAWEB is a full service design company that can do custom builds that are hand-coded, or using Bootstrap, ColdFusion, Drupal, Joomla, Magento, OpenCart, PrestaShop, Shopify, CS-Cart and more. If you are interested in an alternatively coded website, please call us at 706-972-7737.
+ Are there any additional charges to your design prices?
Yes, but generally, no. If you look at our web design pricing here you can see an exact list of what each package offers. These pricing tiers and options will cover a large majority of what most business website owners will need. The “additional charges” come in when we are asked to add additional functionality to the website that is not outlined in the pricing structure.
Say for instance you own a barber shop, and we build a website for you and you decide that you would like to add the additional functionality of booking and scheduling customers from your website (where customers can schedule and book appointments). This would require additional coding, as well as possibly incurring monitoring and sms fees for adding real-time services and text alerts.
Or perhaps, you would like to build an eCommerce website. eComm websites have a seemingly endless array of distinctions, design styles and options that one could peruse. This type of customization would go over and above our standard web design pricing. The good news is, we’re still less expensive than the competition, by far. When we speak with you, prior to building your website, and prior to you being charged, we will discuss, in detail, all of the options and possible additional charges that may apply to your website design / build.
+ How long will it take to get a new website?
On average we shoot for a three week turnaround, however, it’s not unheard of for us to complete a project in six to eight days on entry level jobs. Typically, the pace of any project is set by each client’s needs and how much input the can provide during the initial stages. Your availability with feedback, how soon the content is ready – all this affects the speed of completion. If your website requires additional functionality, beyond what is covered in our pricing tiers, additional time may be required to develop.
+ Who writes the content for the website?
Usually it is the client who writes the copy. After all, you are the expert on your business, so it’s usually best if it comes from you. Don’t worry if you’re not a great writer, North Georgia Web is owned by a master librarian, who will edit anything you write to make sure you look and sound like the expert that you are. We offer free copy-writing services on our Business Pro website package (up to 2000 words) , for our other packages, we offer copy-writing for an additional cost.
+ When do I pay?
If your business is in North Georgia, we do business with a hand shake. Meaning, we will build your website and you pay after the job is finished and you are completely satisfied. For out of area customers, we offer two payment options, a one-time, up-front payment or three automated monthly payments on larger jobs (over $1500).
We understand that this is a big investment and want to help you budget for the expense in whatever way possible. You are guaranteed 100% satisfaction with our work, backed by our 100% money-back guarantee. We accept checks, PayPal, and all major credit cards.
+ Where should I host my website?
Great hosting is super important! That’s why we include your first year of hosting, at no charge, with us, North Georgia Web. Although you can move your website at anytime, as it belongs to you, we think you’ll be more than satisfied here with North Georgia’s best hosting services. After the first year of free hosting is over, you can renew your hosting with us at extremely competitive prices.
